Bombardier Receives Final Quebec CSeries Payment

Aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has taken the final installment of the $1bn financial aid package it agreed with the Government of Quebec earlier this year to invest in its troubled CSeries aircraft programme.

Aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has taken the final installment of the $1bn financial package it agreed with the Government of Quebec earlier this year to invest in the troubled CSeries aircraft programme.

The Montreal-based OEM, which received its first installment of $500m on June 30, confirmed the second payment had been made on September 1.

Quebec agreeing to invest in the programme under the CSeries Aircraft Limited Partnership, with Bombardier committing to keeping manufacture, engineering, assembly and R&D in the province for a period of 20 years.

The CSeries jet has been beset by a series of production delays, and finally entered into service in July 2016 with launch customer SWISS International Air Lines.
