CIT Aerospace Selects GEnx-1B To Power 787s

US leasing company CIT Aerospace has placed an order worth more than $200m for GEnx-1B engines to power four of its 787-9 aircraft.

US leasing company CIT Aerospace has placed an order worth more than $200m for GEnx-1B engines to power four of its 787-9 aircraft.

New Jersey-headquartered CIT said the engine order will take its GEnx-1B-powered 787 fleet to a total of seven aircraft.

Tony Diaz, president of CIT Commercial Air, said the GEnx-powered 787 has a proven record of “outstanding” fuel burn and reliability.
