Metals specialist Constellium has signed a multi-year agreement with Airbus to supply advanced aluminium rolled products for all of the OEM’s major aircraft programmes.

Under the terms of the contract, the Netherlands-based firm will provide wing skin panels, aero-sheets for fuselage panels and rectangular and pre-machined plates for structural components.

This new contract expands on the existing cooperation Constellium signed with Airbus in 2010 to provide its Airware aluminum alloys on the A350 aircraft.

Ingrid Jörg, president of Constellium’s aerospace and transportation business, said: “By refining the way we work together, and thanks to the technology and industrial investments we made over the last years to increase our operational and business performance, Constellium is in a strong position to support Airbus in the execution of its key aerospace programmes.”
