Bombardier has confirmed that the CS300 will take off for its first test flight tomorrow (February 26) from the OEM’s Mirabel, Québec facility.

Last week the Canadian authorities issued a permit allowing the OEM to launch a flight test programme for the CS300 and the test aircraft has since successfully completed high-speed taxi runs.

The CS300 is the larger of the two CSeries aircraft, seating 135–150 passengers, and accounts for two-thirds of the CSeries orderbook.

The test flight will come almost 18 months after its smaller sister aircraft, the CS100, took its first flight in September 2013.
