Airbus has contracted DuPont to supply its ‘Tedlar’ polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) films to support the manufacture of EADS products for the aerospace industry and in particular Airbus aircraft. Airbus signed the agreement on behalf of various EADS entities. DuPont says its Tedlar polyvinyl fluoride films give aerospace product manufacturers maximum design flexibility in creating passenger areas that are attractive, easy to clean, and scuff-resistant, and are “lightweight, conformable, and can be embossed and printed”. DuPont recently more than doubled its capacity to produce Tedlar films. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
