Component OEM Elite Aviation Products (EAP) has grown its production capacity by acquiring its second manufacturing facility in Tustin, California.

EAP said the 3,100m² plant triples its production capacity and will become the centre of excellence for the expansion of its capabilities.

EAP said some of the machining capabilities to be implemented will include: automation, robotics, multiple pallet changing systems and increased R&D activities from EAP’s Elite Engineering Services subsidiary.

In a statement, the Irvine-headquartered firm said the facility being closely located to some of its biggest customers will allow for “extremely efficient partnerships” and “favourable logistics things that are commonly absent in the chaotic and under capacitated aerospace supply chain.”
