Embraer has launched the second generation of its E-Jets commercial aircraft family, named the E-Jets E2. This consists of three new aircraft – the E175-E2, E190-E2, and E195-E2. The E190-E2 is expected to enter service in the first half of 2018; the E195-E2 in 2019; and the E175-E2 in 2020. SkyWest has signed a firm order for 100 E175-E2s, with another 100 purchase rights, which if fulfilled gives the contract an estimated value of $9.36bn at list prices. Meanwhile, International Lease Finance Corporation signed a letter of intent with Embraer to purchase 25 E190-E2s and 25 E195-E2s, with options for an additional 25 E190-E2s and 25 E195-E2s. The manufacturer also signed letters of intent with five undisclosed airlines from Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America for 65 orders for the E-Jets E2.
