Embraer Order Backlog Hits Record $22.9bn

Embraer received firm orders for 102 commercial aircraft in Q2 2015 with its overall backlog rising by $2.5bn from Q1 2015 to reach a company record of $22.9bn.

Embraer received firm orders for 102 commercial aircraft in Q2 2015 with its overall backlog rising by $2.5bn from Q1 2015 to reach a company record of $22.9bn.

In results released on Wednesday (July 15), the Brazilian OEM confirmed that many of those orders were received at the Paris Air Show, including deals signed with lessor Aircastle for 25 aircraft (15 E190-E2s and 10 E195-E2s), United Airlines for 10 E175s and SkyWest Airlines for eight E175s.

Other orders in the quarter included a booking for 30 E195-E2s from Brazil’s Azul and 22 E-Jets from Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines.

Embraer also confirmed commercial deliveries in the second quarter of the year amounted to 27 aircraft, a fall of two aircraft compared with the previous year.
