First MS-21 Wings Set For 2015

The wings for Russia’s MS-21 aircraft are to be manufactured by AeroComposit in the country’s Ulyanovsk Region.

The wings for Russia’s MS-21 aircraft are to be manufactured by AeroComposit in the country’s Ulyanovsk Region.

The region’s governor Sergey Morozov confirmed that the first wing, which is made of a carbon fibre composite, will be fabricated next year.

The government aims to raise at least five billion rubles ($94m) of investment to aid the project.

The MS-21’s maiden flight is scheduled for 2016 with mass production of the aircraft set to start the following year.
