GAMECO Starts To Build Landing Gear Base

Aircraft and component MRO GAMECO has broken ground on its new landing gear overhaul facility in Qingyuan, China.

Aircraft and component MRO GAMECO has broken ground on its new landing gear overhaul facility in Qingyuan, China.

Once operational, the facility at Qingyuan’s Yingfu Industrial Park will have the capability to provide overhaul services on 737, 777, A320 and A330 aircraft.

This includes disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly and testing on landing gear.

GAMECO, which is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines, Hutchison Maintenance Investment and South China International Engineering, said it plans to invest up to CNY200m ($32.3m) in the centre, which includes a main facility in Yingfu and a machining centre in nearby Longwan.
