Hispano-Suiza (a Safran company) is to build a new 8,000m2 manufacturing facility in Poland.

Hispano-Suiza (a Safran company) is to build a new 8,000m2 manufacturing facility in Poland.

The plant will include two production lines for fellow Safran subsidiaries Snecma and Techspace Aero to manufacture low-pressure turbine blades and compressor spools for the LEAP and Silvercrest engine programmes respectively.

The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2016. The LEAP engine will power the A320neo, 737 MAX and C919 commercial aircraft, with the Silvercrest used on the Cessna Citation Longitude and Dassault Aviation Falcon 5X business jets.
