Honeywell Aerospace has signed the first customer for its new auxiliary power unit maintenance plan (AMP) for Boeing business jets.

The aftermarket programme offers servicing, repair and spares for Honeywell’s 131-9B APU, found on all 737NG aircraft.

Honeywell said AMP, which can be transferred to a new owner in the event of an aircraft’s sale, covers “complete on-condition unscheduled heavy maintenance costs” , including life-limited parts and labour.

AMP customers will also receive special rates for renting APUs from Honeywell and will gain access to all of the company’s service centres.
