ITT Buys Out Hartzell Aerospace

US manufacturing and engineering company ITT has completed its acquisition of Hartzell Aerospace (Hartzell) in an expansion of its aerospace portfolio

US manufacturing and engineering company ITT has completed its acquisition of Hartzell Aerospace (Hartzell) in an expansion of its aerospace portfolio.

California-based Hartzell manufactures components, including environmental control systems and APU inlets, at its sites in Valencia and Perris.

The firm has won contracts to supply parts for the CSeries, C919 and the Mitsubishi Regional Jet. Hartzell also provides repairs of APU inlets, exhausts, plenums and aircraft electric heaters, at its FAA-certified facility.

Denise Ramos president and CEO of ITT said: “The addition of Hartzell’s high-quality portfolio and innovative technologies will broaden our capabilities, enhance our ability to serve customers and help further position ITT as a leader in the aerospace market.”
