Airbus has announced a number of changes to its management team.

Tom Williams, the OEM’s vice-president of programmes, is to be promoted to chief operating officer following the departure of Günter Butschek at the end of the year.

Williams will be succeeded by Didier Evrard, the head of the A350 programme.

Evrard will continue overseeing the A350 until a replacement is found.

Meanwhile, chief procurement officer Klaus Richter has been appointed as a member of Airbus’ executive committee and will become the national representative for Airbus in Germany.
