P&W Opens New Singapore Engine Parts Facility

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) has opened a new 16,000m² manufacturing facility in Singapore for the production of PurePower Geared Turbofan engine components.

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) has opened a new 16,000m² manufacturing facility in Singapore for the production of PurePower Geared Turbofan engine components.

In a statement released today (February 15), the engine maker said the centre at Seletar Aerospace Park will manufacture fan blades along with “other key components”.

Danny Di Perna, P&W’s senior vice-president of operations, said: “With the opening of this brand new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to produce our innovative hybrid metallic fan blades and critical turbine rotating components, we are creating much needed manufacturing capacity and capability for our PurePower engine family.”
