Rolls-Royce Fires Up XWB Engine

Rolls-Royce's Trent XWB engines have run for the first time on the A350 XWB in preparation for the aircraft's maiden flight; this stage follows the start-up of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). The new aircraft aims to reduce fuel burn by 25 per cent compared to other long-range twins.
