Rolls-Royce Wins $2.4bn HNA Engine Deal

Rolls-Royce has signed a $2.4bn engines and aftermarket services contract with Chinese conglomerate HNA Group.

Rolls-Royce has signed a $2.4bn engines and aftermarket services contract with Chinese conglomerate HNA Group.

The agreement was signed during a state visit by the president of China to the UK and covers Trent 700 engines and TotalCare service support for 20 A330s; TotalCare service support for the Trent XWB engines that will power 15 A350-900s and TotalCare service support for Trent 700 engines powering five A330 freighters and four A330s. HNA, which manages carriers including Hainan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines and Capital Airlines, currently operates 33 Trent 700 powered A330s.

Rolls-Royce CEO Warren East said: “This decision by HNA Group is a real vote of confidence in our engines and our services and we greatly value our continued partnership with them.”
