UK-based OEM Rolls-Royce (RR) opened a service centre for large aircraft engines in Singapore yesterday (February 3).
The centre is the first of a number it plans to roll out providing EASA-approved engineering capabilities.
The sites will also provide operational planning and data services.
Rolls-Royce is setting up five customer regional teams serving Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe, Greater China and the Middle East and Africa, with a sixth team serving the OEM’s lessor customers.
The OEM’s planned service centres will also act as hubs for its airline support teams, at key airports across each region.
