Defence and aerospace supplier Saab is changing its structure to strengthen its business-to-business offerings.

Defence and aerospace supplier Saab is changing its structure to strengthen its business-to-business offerings.

The firm has announced it is creating a new business area – industrial products and services – that will begin operations on January 1, 2015 and focus on business-to-business customers.

The new unit will bring together aerostructures, business avionics, consultancy company Combitech and the Saab Ventures portfolio, which currently all lie in different business areas.

Saab has also announced changes to its group management, with its deputy CEO and head of aeronautics, Lennart Sindahl, becoming full-time deputy CEO.

Meanwhile, Ulf Nilsson s head of the Gripen programme has been promoted to head of business area aeronautics. Saab’s chief strategy officer, Dan Jangblad, will head up the new industrial products and services division.
