Embraer has confirmed John Slattery will become president and CEO of its commercial aviation division from July 2016.

Embraer has confirmed John Slattery will become president and CEO of its commercial aviation division from July 2016.

Slattery replaces Paulo Cesar Silva, who was confirmed earlier this month as the Brazilian OEM’s new CEO, succeeding Frederico Curado.

Slattery joined Embraer in 2011 and since the end of 2012, has been the commercial division’s chief commercial officer.

Prior to joining the aircraft manufacturer, he spent 15 years in executive and leadership roles at various aircraft leasing business and financial institutions.
