Southdown Gains FAA Approval

Independent MRO Southdown Aero Services has gained FAA repair station approval for both its UK sites.

Independent MRO Southdown Aero Services has gained FAA repair station approval for both its UK sites.

The approval covers all Airbus, Boeing, BAe and Embraer narrow and widebody aircraft at its facilities in Lasham and Alton. Southdown said the approval was granted in response to its increasing demand from existing customers and new enquiries from airline operators.

Tarsem Takhar, a director and partner at the firm, said: “Operators select repair shops for their quality, reliability, turnaround time and cost and the more approvals and capability independent MRO’s such as Southdown Aero Services can offer, across their fleet, the more cost effective it is in the long run for the airline.”
