UK-based aircraft lighting specialist STG Aerospace has created a new product aimed at improving the visibility of the split wing scimitar winglets on 737 aircraft.

Launched today at MRO Network's ap&m Europe exhibition, the visiWing uses photoluminescent and reflective materials to improve the visibility of the winglets to drivers of ground support vehicles, with the aim of preventing collisions.

The product has been approved by Boeing and by Aviation Partners Boeing which manufacture the split wing scimitars.

A model of the visiWing is on display on stand G41 at ap&m Europe.
