Techspace Aero To Supply GTF Components

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) has signed a long-term agreement with Techspace Aero, a Safran company, to provide lube and scavenge pumps and oil reservoirs for its PurePower engine family.

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) has signed a long-term agreement with Techspace Aero, a Safran company, to provide lube and scavenge pumps and oil reservoirs for its PurePower engine family.

The new geared turbofan will power Bombardier’s CSeries, the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) and Embraer’s E2 aircraft families, which are set to come into service over the next five years.

The new contract follows a series of supply deals between the two firms since the early 1980s, including for the GP72000 which is a powerplant for the A380.
