A joint venture between Canada’s Bombardier and Russia’s Rostec could face delays amid concerns regarding the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Citing spokespeople from both companies, Russian business daily Vedomosti noted that the deal agreed last summer to jointly manufacture aircraft is now facing delays of up to a year.

Rostec is a state corporation involved in the development, production and export of hi-tech industrial products for civil and defence industries.

The tentative agreement involved up to 100 Bombardier Q400s worth an estimated $3.4bn at list prices and was scheduled to be finalised sometime this year, conditional on Bombardier constructing a production plant close to Moscow
