United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has confirmed plans to increase production by 20 per cent in 2015.
The Russian OEM is aiming to manufacture 193 aircraft this year, up from 2014’s 161. UAC president Yuri Slusar predicted that the production increase will raise the firm’s revenues from 285bn rubles ($4.3bn) last year to 400bn rubles ($6.1bn) in 2015.
UAC has also confirmed that the Russian government will offer residual values guarantees (RVG) for the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ100).
The government, which will put 1bn rubles ($15.1m) towards implementing the project, said the RVG will allow for competitive lease payments and increase the SSJ100’s global market share.
