UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) has revealed its plans to open a number of regional material distribution sites to help support its airline customers.
UTAS said that the sites will initially provide AOG and reliability hardware for aircraft including the 787, A350 and A320neo.
Jim Patrick VP of commercial aviation, customer service said: "By placing materials closer to the customer through these regional distribution centres, we will enhance service levels while also helping airlines and MRO sites maintain lower inventory costs."
The sites will serve UTAS customers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.
The first facility is scheduled to open this summer in the Netherlands.
