The tests, which began today (June 8), will focus on the aircraft’s braking and steering.

In December Mitsubishi Aircraft began wing up-bending tests on the regional jet and in January ran the aircraft’s PW1200G engines for the first time.

The MRJ’s first flight is scheduled for September or October this year.
