WestJet Orders Nine Q400s From Bombardier

Canadian regional carrier WestJet Encore has signed a firm order for nine Q400 turboprop aircraft from Bombardier worth $293m at list prices.

Canadian regional carrier WestJet Encore has signed a firm order for nine Q400 turboprop aircraft from Bombardier worth $293m at list prices.

The transaction is a conversion of options booked by the airline’s parent company WestJet and will increase the Calgary-based carrier’s fleet to 45 Q400 aircraft.

With the latest order, WestJet Encore now has 17 of the aircraft awaiting delivery.

Ferio Pugliese, president of WestJet Encore, said the addition of more Q400s will help the airline further grow its network.
