Whitcraft To Supply PurePower Components

US-based aerospace manufacturing company Whitcraft has signed a 10-year $234m supply contract with Pratt & Whitney (P&W).

US-based aerospace manufacturing company Whitcraft  has signed a 10-year $234m supply contract with Pratt & Whitney (P&W).

Under the contract Whitcraft will provide parts and assemblies for P&W’s PurePower geared turbofan engine family.

All of Whitcraft’s Connecticut manufacturing sites will be involved in the contract with sheet metal components and assemblies produced at its Eastford facility and machined parts and assemblies made at its sites in Plainville and Farmington.

Over the past two months Whitcraft has hired more than 30 new employees to ensure it can meet the requirements of the new contract.
