CommutAir adds to maintenance and technical divisions

American regional carrier CommutAir has made three appointments to its maintenance and technical divisions as it prepares for the trebling of its fleet size with the arrival of 40 Embraer 145 aircraft.

American regional carrier CommutAir has made three appointments to its maintenance and technical divisions as it prepares for the trebling of its fleet size with the arrival of 40 Embraer 145 aircraft.

Robert Degrie becomes the airline’s new director of technical services.

In the role, he will be responsible for the fleet engineering, engineering and programmes, production planning, materials, and maintenance technology functions.

Lon Ziegler will join CommutAir as director of maintenance, overseeing all production functions and in-house and third party station and base maintenance operations.

Completing the appointments is Ron Cruz, who will be responsible for maintenance operations at CommutAir’s largest aircraft base at Washington Dulles International Airport.
