Aeromexico has signed a contract with Boeing to use the OEM’s Maintenance Performance Toolbox Records system to support maintenance operations on its aircraft fleet.

Under the terms of the contract, the carrier will use the tool on its fleet of 737, 767, 777 and 787 aircraft as well as on its non-Boeing fleets.

Aeromexico becomes the fifth airline to sign up for the tool, which delivers real-time information to technicians resolving aircraft maintenance issues, since its launch in October 2015.

Jorge Jacome, Aeromexico corporate senior vice-president of maintenance and engineering, said: “Toolbox Records will not only help us streamline—through automation—the way we manage our maintenance information, it will ultimately help us in conjunction with process improvement and additional IT solutions to reduce costs.”
