FLYHT Wins New STCs For AFIRS System

Aircraft monitoring specialist FLYHT Aerospace Solutions has been granted supplemental type certificates (STCs) to install its automated flight information reporting system (AFIRS) on certain Boeing, ATR and Bombardier aircraft types.

Aircraft monitoring specialist FLYHT Aerospace Solutions has been granted supplemental type certificates (STCs) to install its automated flight information reporting system (AFIRS) on certain Boeing, ATR and Bombardier aircraft types.

European regulator EASA has awarded FLYHT approval for the ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-212A, while the FAA has approved the AFIRS system for the 757-200 aircraft.

The Transport Canada Civil Aviation STC covers the Bombardier Dash 8 -100, -200 and -300 aircraft.

Four of the ATR aircraft will come online with AFIRS 228 within the month, contributing to a total of ten new aircraft that will enter into service by the end of 2016.
