Cypriot low-cost carrier Orion Airways has signed a contract with Commsoft to use its OASES MRO software offering across its fleet of 737 aircraft.
The airline, which will begin operating from September, becomes UK-based Commsoft’s first customer in Cyprus.
Under the terms of the agreement, Orion has opted for the core, airworthiness, planning, materials, warranty and line maintenance modules.
The system for five concurrent users will be hosted on Commsoft’s OASES Private Cloud service.
Thanassis Kokkotas, CEO of the airline startup, said the OASES system will support its planned expansion over the next 18 months. This includes growing its fleet from an initial three 737s to eight of the narrowbody aircraft by 2017.
