Muilenburg to replace McNerney as Boeing chairman

Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg has been elected to the OEM’s board of directors as its new chairman, succeeding the retiring Jim McNerney.

Muilenburg will take up the role from March 1 in addition to being the aircraft manufacturer’s CEO.

McNerney stepped down as the Chicago-headquartered firm’s CEO in July 2015 after more than 10 years but has continued as chairman since then.
