Airbus Beats Boeing To EasyJet Order

EasyJet says it has agreed to buy 35 A320s and 100 A320neos, with options for a further 100, from Airbus. The firm contract is valued at around $11bn at list prices. As Airbus and Boeing were in competition and pitched terms for the contract, the low-cost carrier is likely to have received a significant discount. Of the 135 aircraft, 85 will be used for replacement.
