Airbus Wins United A350-1000 Order

United Airlines has placed an order with Airbus for ten A350-1000 aircraft, as well as converting its previous order for 25 A350-900s to the -1000 model. Jeff Smisek, United’s chairman, president and CEO, said the aircraft would allow the company “to meet demand on larger, long-haul markets”.  Fabrice Bregier, Airbus president and CEO, commented: “Less than a week after the success of the A350 XWB’s first flight, we see that demand for the new aircraft continues to grow, especially for the larger -1000 model.”
