AJW Bolsters Leasing Division, Plans Further Hires

Expansion of leasing operation follows recent move to new Dublin office.

AJW Aviation has bolstered its leasing arm by deploying a member of its senior management to a newly opened office in Dublin.

Alun Roberts, the firm’s engine leasing manager, will now be based at AJW Leasing in Ireland, where it has had a presence since 2013. AJW said following its relocation to the new premises, it intends to hire “additional key staff” in 2017.

Ian Malin, treasurer, director and chief investment officer of AJW Group, said the decision to relocate was driven by a need to expand its links to the leasing community in Ireland, home to nine of the world’s 10 largest lessors.

Founded in 2005, the lessor specializes in leasing aircraft engines and rotable spare parts. Predominantly centred on Airbus and Boeing rotable aircraft spares and CFM, Pratt & Whitney and GE engines inventory, it has a portfolio of more than 20 customers in more than 20 countries.
