AJW Group Pens TAP M&E PBH Agreement

The deal will see AJW provide supply, repair and overhaul services on components for two A320neo aircraft operated by Azores Airlines.

U.K. parts specialist AJW Group has signed a power-by-the-hour agreement with TAP Maintenance & Engineering for services on two Airbus A320neos operated by Portuguese carrier Azores Airlines.

The PBH contract, which begins with immediate effect, will see AJW support TAP M&E with supply, repair and overhaul of rotable components on the new-generation aircraft.

AJW says the agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two parties, which previously included the company supply TAP M&E with engine parts and other rotables for use in its MRO operation.

"AJW’s support will be instrumental in ensuring that Azores Airlines’ fleet of A320neo aircraft, which is one of the most modern in the world, operates with maximum efficiency," says Mario Lobato Faria, chief technical officer at Lisbon-headquartered TAP Maintenance & Engineering.
