American To Foot $400m Bankruptcy Bill

American Airlines’ bankruptcy could cost the airline $400m in fees, reports suggest. In a number of legal filings made on Tuesday (June 24), fee examiner and attorney, Robert Keach, requested that $371.7m in fees and $16.3m in expenses be paid to 47 different firms. The list of people involved in the case includes attorneys, financial advisers and consultants. Bankruptcy advisor Weil, Gotshal & Manges should receive $77.4m and law firm Debevoise & Plimpton has charged $54.1m.
