AMR Corporation has reported consolidated revenue and traffic results for its subsidiaries American Airlines and AMR Eagle in August 2013. Passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) was up three per cent on the same period last year. Consolidated capacity and traffic rose 4.2 per cent and 3.2 per cent respectively, year-over-year, and this resulted in a consolidated load factor of 85 per cent, 0.8 per cent below August 2012. Domestic traffic increased by 0.8 per cent year-over-year on 1.7 per cent higher capacity, giving a domestic load factor of 86.4 per cent, 0.8 per cent lower than the same period last year. International load factor was one point lower year-over-year, at 84.7 per cent, with traffic increasing by 6.7 per cent and capacity rising by 8.1 per cent.
