Singapore-based lessor BOC Aviation has opened a new office in London. The new UK office is headed by Steven Townend, deputy managing director and chief commercial officer for Europe, Americas and Africa, who has worked for BOC since 2004.
The lessor, which is owned by the Bank of China, operates a fleet of 248 aircraft and also has offices in Dublin and Seattle.
BOC has confirmed that Matthew Baumgarth is to join its London office as senior vice-president, capital markets. Baumgarth moves to BOC from Hawaiian Airlines where he was senior director, treasury and previously worked for Guggenheim Securities.
Tim Pickston, BOC Aviation’s senior vice-president for aircraft sales, is also to be based in London.
