Boeing Rolls Out 737 At New Production Rate

Boeing has rolled out the first next-generation 737 built at the new production rate of 38 aircraft per month for customer Copa airlines, who will take delivery of the 737-800 in April. The aircraft will now undergo functional, systems and flight testing prior to delivery. Boeing is in the process of increasing its production rate of the 737 from 35 a month to 38 due to market demand; next year it plans to increase the rate to 42 per month.
