Bombardier In Deal With New Chinese Airline

Nantong Tongzhou Bay Aviation Industry has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Bombardier Aerospace to acquire 30 Q400 NextGen aircraft. The company is preparing to launch commercial airline operations in China through a new airline – Sutong Airlines. The carrier will be based in Nantong, Jiangsu, with plans to operate an all-Bombardier fleet of Q400 NextGens when operations commence in 2015. If a firm order is made, it would be valued at approximately $995m based on list prices.
