Braathens Orders Acro Seats For Saab Fleet

Braathens Regionals is to become the launch customer for newly modified Acro seats in its Saab 340/2000 fleet. The lightweight Acro seats have been developed in co-operation between Saab and Acro, with Acro responsible for seat design adapted to the Saab footprint and Saab responsible for the type certification into the Saab aircraft. Saab said the seats are one of a series of upcoming modifications to adapt the aircraft into the next 25 years of operations. The company says the seats offer a weight reduction, additional legroom and reduced maintenance due to a “robust, modular, easy-clean structure”. The seats have a basic lead time of 16 weeks.
