China Eastern Set To Buy 80 737s

China Eastern Airlines has committed to buying 80 737s, the largest-ever purchase by a Chinese operator for single-aisle aircraft. The deal, which is yet to be finalised, includes 737NG and 737 MAX aircraft and is worth more than $8bn, according to Boeing. Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines has extended its 737 order announced last May. The airline has ordered an additional 15 737 MAX aircraft, worth $1.6bn, taking its total order up to 65 737 MAX and 20 737NGs.
