China Southern Flies A380 On China-Sydney Route

Sydney Airport today welcomed China Southern Airlines’ first A380 service, which flew its popular Guangzhou-Sydney route with the aircraft for the first time. The operational changes are in time for the busy holiday season and ahead of the Chinese New Year. “This additional A380 for Sydney will add more than 160,000 annual seats, boosting tourism and trade between Australia and China, delivering a further estimated $100m in additional annual visitor expenditure to the New South Wales economy, and providing an associated increase in jobs,” said Sydney Airport’s CEO, Kerrie Mather.
