Delta Subsidiary Signs US Oil Deal

Monroe Energy, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, has signed a five-year deal with energy company Bridger to supply 65,000 barrels of US-sourced crude oil each day to Munroe’s refinery in Pennsylvania.

Under the agreement, Bridger will be supplying one-third of the oil refined at the plant from oilfields in North Dakota, replacing more expensive imports. Delta claims that the deal is a “significant step” in its strategy to manage the costs of jet fuel.
