FedEx Express Takes Its First 767-300

FedEx Express, an operating company of FedEx Corp, has taken delivery of its first 767-300 Freighter, which will replace an aged MD-10. "Today's delivery of our first Boeing 767 Freighter is another step forward in our fleet modernisation strategy," said James Parker, EVP of air operations, FedEx Express. "The 767 is approximately 30 per cent more fuel efficient and has unit operating costs that are more than 20 per cent lower than the aircraft they will replace." FedEx Express will also be able to share parts, tooling and flight simulators between the 767 and its 757 Freighters, of which it already has 70.
