Flag carrier Finnair has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with German Operating Aircraft Leasing (GOAL) for the sale and leaseback of three E-190 aircraft.
The deal, valued at €55m ($68m), is expected to close by the end of March 2015.
The aircraft included in the arrangement are currently operated by Finnair’s associated company, Flybe Finland. After the transaction is closed, Finnair will sublease the aircraft to Flybe Finland.
Finnair said proceeds from the deal would be used to finance further fleet investments in the coming years.
