First A320neo Completed

The first A320neo has been completed following paintwork and mounting of a Pratt & Whitney 1100G-JM engine. The aircraft, MSN6101, is slated to begin ground tests in preparation for its first flight. A flight test campaign stars in September this year and sets the scene for the A320neo to enter service in Q4 2015. Airbus expects innovations like sharklet wing-tip devices to deliver a 15 per cent fuel saving and a saving of 3,600 tonnes of C02 per aircraft each year.
